Moshe Leider is an expresive abstract painter. As Mark Rothko wrote about the abstarct art, forms on the paintings were actors, their actions might not be predicted in advance, only in the end we can understand their functions. Especially the artist deals with a the preception of variuos combinations of colours and forms. He experiments with the feeling of motion. Also, Leider adds symbols including literal ones. For instatnce, his work “Abstract with grey squire” has separated parts, including printed and handwritten. It is interesting, how this small insetrs change the sense of the painting.
Morevoer,
In “Abstract and text” the basic form of the cross with text insets and circles situated internally and externally captures the attention. Limited number of colors and the predominance of grey make the painting quite calm, but at the same time due to bursts of orange and turquoise it has a controversial character. In particular, they can be regarded as reflections of fire and water that swallow up letters of the text.
Similarly,
“Abstract with red line” can be seen as a dicurs on the elements of the world and specifically the art. The composition of lines and figures colored in bright colours probably refers to the emotional perception of the diversity. Generally, abstract art is a kind of meditation, reflection of the environment.
Moshe Leider is a unique master of glass colour swatches. Combinations of techniques, details and references to the famous masterpieces make his works enthralling. The artist immigrated to Israel form Soviet Union, where he finished the Art Academy in Moscow. In Israel Moshe Leider is a member of Association of Painters and Sculptures.
