Jim Dine is an American painter, graphic artist, sculptor, and poet. “Nancy in Jerusalem” is a portrait of the muse and former wife of the artist. Nancy Dine was a filmmaker, a documentary about Jim Dine earned her an Academy Award nomination. The artist created hundreds of drawings and prints of Nancy. Dine’s art combine features of Neo-Dada, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art. The monochromatic print presented in our gallery is an example of a delicate lithograph technique.
