Our visitors

This Wednesday (30.11.22) we were glad to host Rudy Rochman, a Jewish-Israeli rights activist and Zionist. Rochman actively participates in the debates on the State of Israel‘s right to exist. Especially, he puts an accent on the view that the Jews are indigenous and rooted to the Holy Land.

Interestingly, according to Rochman’s ideas, Judaism is a “suitcase”, that contains elements of the Jewish identity. In particular, the culture, traditions, way of life unite the people regardless of different religious views. The activist believes in the importance of self-determination of the Jews with the Land of Israel. The Israel is still going through the consequences of the Roman expulsion.

Kings gallery specializes in artists from the early period of the 1920’s. Therefore, we have a wide collection of works by Jewish painters. For instance, check our blogs about art by Reuven Rubin, Yosl Bergner and Ludwig Blum. These painters defined the Zionist ideas of their time and influenced philosophy of the modern Jewish activism.
