Lamentations

"Lamentations" By Israeli artist Emmanuel Mané-Katz. The painting depicts the man talking to the lord. It seems, that the flame is going from him. The style of artist was classical and somber. In the later period his palette changed to bright, primary colors. His art had an emphasis on Jewish themes, he created Hassidic characters, rabbis, Jewish musicians, beggars, yeshiva students and scenes from shtetl life. Mane-Katz's actual home was Paris, but he said that spiritual one was always the Land of Israel.
