“Megillaht Ester” by Yaacov Agam
A piece by Israeli artist Yaacov Agam, who is known for contributions to optical and kinetic art. In the painting there are three pages of the scroll of Esther: two abstract versions on the sides and one classic version in the middle. Abstract parts remind of kinetic art pieces, the artist works with optical illusions. Yaacov Agam is also famous for a type of print known as Agamograph, that uses barrier-grid animation to present totally different Images, depending on the angle from which the spectator is looking.
