Chasidic Dancing

“Chasidic dancing” by Israeli contemporary artist Ora Nissim. Using a combination of stains and paints, the painter creates luminous heroes daincing on the flaming background. The dreaming musician merges with the contrabass. In the colorful painting she shows men whirling in the joy and the passion of the G-ds worship. There is no floor, they are flying in their prayer and focus on the infinte. As the artist has described her art: she paints "Judaism today and in the future", not "Judaism of the past". Grown up in the Jerusalem neighborhood “Mea Shearim”, Ora Nissim depicts "feeling and movement, that are hidden behind that black clothing".
